The necessary prerequisite for compressing the natural gas, thus producing the compressed natural gas (CNG) is the immediate proximity of the main gas pipeline, in which natural gas pressure ranges from 25 bar to 35 bar.
Our CNG facility consists of a gas pipeline that connects the main gas pipeline and the measurement and regulation station.
A measurement and regulation station (MRS) is a device assembly consisting of a pipelines, a gas valves, a pressure regulator, a gas flow measuring device, a measuring device for temperature and pressure, as well as a spare line that can provide gas supply in the event of a malfunction on the main line.
By creating conditions for gas flow, it is possible to start the process of its compression.
From the MRS, the natural gas goes into a filter station or gas treatment device that also consists of two lines separating moisture and contaminants from the gas before entering the compressor.
The purified gas goes to compressors where the gas is compressed through three stages of compression until it reaches a pressure of 230 bars.
During compression, the gas heats up, so after each stage of compression it is cooled down by the air coolers and the cooled gas goes to the oil separator.
The cooled and purified compressed natural gas is sent to the priority panel that directs the flow of CNG from the compressor to the CNG dispensers, where consumers fill their natural gas vehicles (cars, buses, trucks), much like a conventional fueling station. Also from the priority panel, CNG can be sent to the tube trailer - skid and platform (MEGC- Multi Element Gas Container) filling spot, that is equipped with various equipment (valves, quick connections, exhaust valves, high-pressure hoses) for filling.
Where the gas pipeline ends, the transport of compressed natural gas or the “virtual gas pipeline” begins. Natural gas from the main line, after being prepared, is compressed and poured into mobile storage units. Mobile storage units at BDF platforms are carried on airbags by trucks of our company. The transport to the place of connection to the local gas network in your plant is carried out by drivers and operators with ADR certificate.
